How to read this. We have deliberately not quoted Hotelogix's prices. They are not published as a static rate card — their pricing page is a calculator that asks for your region and billing cycle, and third-party listing sites disagree with each other. What we compare instead is structure: how each product is packaged, metered and bought. Get a current quote from Hotelogix and put it beside Zitlin's published estimator.

The pricing shapes are genuinely different
Per-room pricing is the industry norm and Hotelogix follows it: your bill moves with every room you add, and a minimum billing threshold sets the floor. It is predictable and it is how most PMS vendors work.
Zitlin prices by unit band instead, from €19 a month, and publishes the number — you can work out your own cost in about fifteen seconds without giving anyone your phone number. Above 70 units we quote individually, which is the same "contact us" step every vendor eventually has; we just push it further out.
The bigger practical difference is what sits inside the base price. If your property has a dining room, compare carefully: Zitlin's restaurant POS, kitchen tickets and folio posting are in the product from the free plan up, whereas at Hotelogix the kitchen order ticket appears in the separately charged interfaces list. For a hotel with a restaurant that is often the line that decides it.
Where Hotelogix is the better choice
Genuinely, and we would rather you found out here than three weeks into a migration:
- You need GDS. Zitlin does not do GDS distribution. If Amadeus, Sabre or Travelport matter to your corporate business, that is a hard stop.
- You need a specific third-party interface. Hotelogix's catalogue is wider — EPABX, Xero, door-lock and payment-gateway interfaces among others. Zitlin integrates smart locks and a defined set of payment rails, and not much beyond that. Check your must-have list first.
- You are a group above 100 rooms per property with a long procurement process. Hotelogix has been doing multi-property enterprise longer. Zitlin runs to 200 rooms and has properties at that size, but we are the younger company and it is fair to weigh that.
- You want a single vendor for everything including accounting. Zitlin deliberately stops short of being a ledger — it does invoicing, expenses and a city ledger, not double-entry bookkeeping.
Where Zitlin is the better choice
- Your property serves food. Restaurant POS, kitchen tickets, room service and breakfast covers in the same system as the front desk, with food posting to the folio and one tax invoice at checkout.
- You are in India, South or Southeast Asia. GST with GSTR-1 export, and QR payments on the rail your guests actually use — UPI, DuitNow, PromptPay, QRIS, VietQR, SGQR, QR Ph — at 0% commission, settling straight to your bank with no gateway in between.
- You want to try it properly before paying. A free forever plan and 60 days of Pro beats a 15-day trial if you want to see a full month-end close.
- You want to know the price before the call. The estimator is on the site.
- You run several properties. One login switches between them, with each property's data sealed off from the next — see multi-property management.
What switching actually involves
Data migration, staff training and setup are included in Zitlin Pro at no extra charge. The order that works: set Zitlin up alongside what you have, load rooms, rate plans and forward bookings, run both for a few days, then cut over at a month boundary so your reporting has a clean break. Keep your old system's exports before you cancel — every vendor's, not just Hotelogix's.
Frequently asked questions
Is Zitlin cheaper than Hotelogix?
For a small or mid-size independent it usually is — but check rather than take our word
for it. Get their current quote for your room count and the modules you need, and put it
beside our estimator.
Does Zitlin include a restaurant POS?
Yes, with kitchen order tickets, in the base product from the free plan up. That is the
largest single packaging difference between the two.
Can I move my data across?
Yes — migration is included in Pro. Export rooms, rate plans and forward bookings, and
our team loads them. Don't cancel anything until you've cut over.
Do I have to pay to try Zitlin?
No. Free forever plan, no card, plus 60 days of the Pro modules on every new account.
