Offer rooms by the hour, manage day use bookings, and fill your property during slow periods. Included free in Zitlin PMS.
Most hotel software assumes every guest stays the night. Zitlin doesn't.
Zitlin PMS lets you offer rooms by the hour alongside your regular nightly bookings — from the same dashboard, with no separate system. A room can take a 3-hour day use booking in the afternoon and a nightly guest in the evening. You set the pricing, Zitlin handles the rest.
This feature is included in the free plan. No add-on, no upgrade required.

Who Uses Hourly Hotel Bookings
Hourly and day use bookings serve guests that nightly-only hotels turn away entirely:
- Business travellers — need a quiet room between meetings, a private space to take calls, or somewhere to freshen up before a flight
- Transit and layover passengers — long airport layovers where a lounge isn't enough
- Event and conference attendees — a few hours near a venue rather than a full night
- Daycationers — local guests who want pool, spa, or amenity access without an overnight stay
- Couples and families — short rest stops during long road trips
Each of these is a paying guest your property is currently turning away if you only offer nightly rates.

What This Does for Your Revenue
Sell the same room more than once per day. A room that checks out at 11am and checks in at 3pm has a 4-hour window sitting empty. A day use booking at ₹800–1,500 for that window is revenue that didn't exist before.
Fill the midday gap. Most hotels have natural occupancy valleys between 11am and 3pm. Hourly bookings are specifically designed for this window.
No new systems to manage. Hourly bookings appear on the same reservation dashboard as your nightly bookings. Availability, pricing, and check-in/check-out are all handled in one place.

How to Enable Hourly Bookings in Zitlin
In your Zitlin dashboard, each room type has a toggle to switch between nightly and hourly pricing. You can set a per-hour rate independently from your nightly rate. Availability updates automatically — if a room has an hourly booking until 2pm, it won't show as available for check-in until that booking closes.
No configuration beyond setting your hourly rate. Takes under two minutes.
Zitlin vs Other PMS Software for Hourly Bookings
Most property management systems — including many paid ones — do not support hourly bookings at all. They are built exclusively around nightly check-in and check-out cycles. Adding hourly bookings typically requires a separate system, a third-party integration, or a custom build.
Zitlin supports hourly and nightly bookings natively, in the same interface, on the free plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I offer both hourly and nightly bookings for the same room? Yes. You can designate specific rooms for hourly use or allow the same room to take both types of bookings. Availability is managed automatically so there are no conflicts.
Is hourly booking support free? Yes. Hourly bookings are included in Zitlin's free forever plan with no upgrade required.
Can guests book hourly rooms through the direct booking engine? Yes. Your Zitlin booking engine supports hourly room bookings alongside nightly reservations, so guests can self-book without calling the front desk.
What's the minimum booking duration I can set? You configure the minimum duration yourself in the room settings — one hour, two hours, or any increment you choose.
Does this work for rest houses, transit hotels, and airport properties specifically? Yes. Zitlin is used by properties that operate primarily on short-stay and hourly models, not just hotels adding it as a secondary offering.
How does pricing work for hourly bookings? You set a flat per-hour rate for each room type. This is independent of your nightly rate and can be adjusted any time from your dashboard.
