Hotel Software Your Staff Can Actually Read

Get Started with our Free Forever plan

Zitlin's app runs in eight languages, and every staff member picks their own. The front desk can work in English while housekeeping works in Bahasa Melayu — same property, same data, same shift.

Most hotel software asks the same thing of every person who touches it: read English, or guess. That is a reasonable ask of a general manager. It is an unreasonable ask of a housekeeping attendant updating room status from a phone between rooms, or a waiter punching in a table order during a full service.

Zitlin's app ships in eight languages, and the choice belongs to the person, not the property.

The eight languages

Language In the app
English English
Spanish Español
French Français
German Deutsch
Portuguese Português
Malay Bahasa Melayu
Thai ไทย
Japanese 日本語

There is a ninth option — System — which follows whatever language the staff member's own device is already set to. It is the default, and it means most people never open the setting at all.

Why per-person, and not per-property

A hotel is not staffed by one kind of person. The front office, the kitchen, the housekeeping floor and the owner's laptop are frequently four different first languages under one roof — and in tourist markets that is the norm rather than the exception.

Software that sets language at the property level forces a decision that always loses somebody. Zitlin sets it per user account, so:

  • Your receptionist reads the calendar in English while your housekeeping supervisor reads the room board in Bahasa Melayu.
  • A Thai cashier closes the drawer in ไทย, and the shift report the owner opens is in whatever the owner reads.
  • Seasonal staff hired for one busy season start on day one in a language they already know, instead of learning your software and a second language at once.

Everyone is looking at the same rooms, the same folios and the same numbers. Only the labels differ.

It costs nothing and it isn't a module

Language is not an add-on, not a Pro feature and not something to enable. Every language is present on the free forever plan, on every platform Zitlin runs on — Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and the browser.

Where this matters most

Zitlin runs in properties across Southeast Asia, where a single property routinely runs multiple languages across departments:

  • Malaysia — Bahasa Melayu across the floor, DuitNow QR on the invoice.
  • Thailand — ไทย for staff, Thai QR (PromptPay) for guests.
  • Singapore — mixed teams, English and Bahasa Melayu, SGQR and PayNow.
  • Europe — Spanish, French, German and Portuguese, with SEPA QR payments and VAT invoicing.

What it does not change

Being straight about the edges: a staff member's language setting changes the interface they work in. It does not restate your rate plans, your room names or your menu items — those are text you typed, and they appear exactly as you entered them. It does not change your currency, your tax configuration or the correctness of an invoice. And guest-facing output is a separate question from staff UI; if that matters to your market, ask us on WhatsApp before you commit.

Set it in one tap

Open Settings, choose a language, done. It applies immediately, only to that user, and can be changed as often as they like.

Start free — no credit card, every language included on every plan.
