Room status in Zitlin follows the guest lifecycle automatically. When a reservation is created, the room is occupied for those dates. When the guest checks out, the room status changes to Dirty and a cleaning task is created — without anyone doing anything manually.

The housekeeping staff open the Zitlin Android app, see the task assigned to them, clean the room, and mark it Clean. The front desk dashboard updates immediately. The room is available for the next check-in.

When a room goes dirty, Zitlin creates a housekeeping task and assigns it based on your staff configuration. Each task shows the housekeeper exactly what needs to be done, which room, and what the current status is.

Staff update task status from their Android phones — Assigned → In Progress → Completed. As each task moves through the workflow, the room status on the front desk dashboard reflects the change in real time.

For properties with multiple floors or wings, tasks can be filtered and assigned by section so each housekeeper has a clear list of their rooms for the day without wading through the full property.
